Opportunities to Earn and Learn

Our friends with intellectual and developmental disabilities are exactly like you – they love the experience of a meaningful day, and value the opportunity to develop skills while putting a few dollars in their pocket. While approximately 20% of our clients participate in the competitive community employment program, many choose to spend their day in our Work Activity Center. Some services we provide include light manufacturing, mailroom services, package assembly, disassembly, and pickup/delivery services.

At The Arc Volusia – this program is provided as a value-added experience for the individuals we serve. Our clients are compensated according to Department of Labor guidelines, with upwards of 80% of every dollar brought in through our outsourcing programs used to pay wages to our clients.
